“ALADDIN, JR.”-FULL
Please note: Camp is full, but information regarding a waiting list can be found at the bottom of the page!
Summer Children’s Theater Camp Porchlight Players will host its seventh Summer Children’s Theater Camp this June in Gypsum, a workshop-inspired camp which incorporates theater skills, dance & movement, and public speaking while producing “Aladdin, Jr.” from MTI’s Broadway, Jr. collection. The story centers around Aladdin, a poor boy living on the streets, who dreams of one day making it big, living in a palace and having it all. Meanwhile Jasmine, the Princess, wishes she could be free from her royal duties and live life as a commoner. Through a chance meeting, Aladdin and Jasmine fall in love, and learn that what really matters is not what you have or don’t have, but discovering who you are on the inside. Show will be performed Friday, June 21st at 6:oo PM at the Lundgren Amphitheater in Gypsum, and is free.
Registration for 2013 Summer Children’s Theater Camp will begin March 15th for new participants, and pre-registration will open for past performers March 1st. Tuition will be $325 for three weeks of camp, Mon.-Fri., 9am-3pm. If you would like to be placed on a waiting list, please email the director, ann.olin@porchlightplayers.com.
